Jamiah Adams:
Hailing
from the San Francisco Bay Area, Jamiah Adams has written everything
from poetry to journalism-- she saw directing as a challenge. Seeking
an outlet for her work, she became proactive and started nubian sisters
productions. The first production, a short film called, "Aida's Awakening,"
written and directed by Jamiah, pays homage to her family's Louisiana
roots and her interest in the rich culture of the African Diaspora.
FUTURE FEATURE WRITING PROJECTS:
Jamiah
is penning "Mecca," an animated/live-action psychological drama, dealing
with the theme of loneliness and familial fragmentation. She also has
in the works, "Minbo No Onna," (Mob Woman) an action feature set on
two continents. Both pieces feature strong female protagonists.
