RELEASE:
nubian sisters productions company
continues their emphasis on showcasing the stories of the African
Diaspora, particularly those stories of the women of the Diaspora,
with their first annual short film script contest.
Objective: nsp encourages new screenwriters
to create scripts that rely upon the picture to tell the story.
The winner will see their work produced in the digital format
and have a copy of their own film that will travel the festival
circuit with the possibility of a broadcast or cable television
venue.
Rules: Writers with no credits or WGA membership
are invited to submit their short script for this exciting contest.
Writer must be 18 years or older and work must be original.
All scripts must be five pages or less and tell a story without
dialogue. The theme is that of the African Diaspora, particularly
stories about women of the Diaspora.
Script Guidelines:
• Script must be written in English or Spanish in standard
screenplay format.
• Do not send originals, scripts will be recycled at the
conclusion of judging.
• Script title page should have the name of the script only.
• Each script will not be read without signed release form.
• Attach a separate sheet of paper with script title, your
name, address, phone number and email contact.
Awards: The winner will have their script
produced by nubian sisters productions and be flown to Los Angeles
for the film’s production.
